Personal Summary – Mid-2026

It’s time to reflect on the first half of 2026.

Life
Without a doubt, this has been a milestone in my life. On January 1st, 2026, our whole family finally moved into our new house — the one we had waited for more than two and a half years to get. After finishing the decoration, we spent over half a year airing out the house to release formaldehyde and other harmful substances, ensuring we could live in a truly healthy environment.

This move marks a new beginning. We are now living separately from my parents. Although we miss the convenience of having breakfast ready every morning, the benefits are far greater. We have become the true owners of our home. We can arrange everything the way we want, which was impossible when living with my parents. The house is cleaner, tidier, and much quieter than before. What makes me happiest is that I finally have my own small book room — a personal space where I can read, work, or simply do the things I enjoy.

We’ve also purchased several smart home appliances, such as a dishwasher, robot vacuum cleaner, and air fryer. In addition, we bought new beds, a sofa, a dining table, chairs, beautiful tableware, and more. All these changes have greatly increased our happiness and comfort. Both my wife and I are truly enjoying our new life.

Family
My son has become the best measure of our family’s growth. Just like a flowing river, time passes quietly, but his growth makes the passage of time visible. He is taller now, has learned many new skills, and can express himself much more clearly. He has left his baby years behind and entered childhood. I sincerely hope he grows up healthy and strong. I don’t care too much about his grades — I just want him to live a happy life.

I have also started building a financial foundation for him. Every month, I invest ¥600 in the financial markets, and I plan to continue this for as long as I can.

As for my wife and me, our relationship remains strong. I still love her deeply and care about her in every way. (Though she may not always feel it obviously — after all, women tend to be very sensitive to the little details in daily life.) In my heart, she is still the most beautiful woman in the world.

In conclusion, I hope all my family members will be happy and healthy, no matter where life takes us.

Work
The project we worked on this year ended in a rather ridiculous way. The customer suddenly decided to cancel it. This resulted in a huge waste of money — roughly 20 million yuan — because we had already prepared the module machines and production line. Even after changing the software on the testing station, the equipment still went to waste. However, these decisions were beyond my control. As a testing software engineer, my responsibility is simply to write and maintain stable, reliable programs.

Outside of work, I have been following the study plan I set at the beginning of the year. My main focus is improving my Python and PyQt skills. I will continue developing my RememberWord project, which is built with Python and PyQt6. I may also add some offline AI features in the future.

That’s all for the first half of 2026.
Wishing the world peace, and wishing everyone a better life.
